Accurate Bedrock Bridging
A faithful and accurate reimplementation of Bedrock bridging for Forge and Fabric, born from my frustration with the accuracy of other mods that attempt to implement Bedrock bridging.
All code in this mod was written from scratch. It is an independent implementation and is not derived from another Minecraft mod. The behavior is based on my own observations of Bedrock Edition and no other mod implements things such as intents and other things described here. Please do read the complete description to understand the scope of differences.
All mods that have attempted to implement Bedrock block placement have probably been made by authors who never played Bedrock Edition, be it Hive SkyWars, or have genuinely attempted to learn or understand Bedrock block placement and only have what they call reacharound, and they even got that wrong with weird conditions.
I have played a considerable amount of Bedrock SkyWars, and because of how much I enjoy block placement, I have done considerable observation and coded it for my private voxel engine, which I thought, let me try to port this to Minecraft.
How does Bedrock Edition's block placement work?
- After the first block is placed, if the next block placed is next to it, that creates an intent, and as long as your crosshair stays on that intent line, you are able to place blocks.
Here in this picture you can see me following the intent line with my crosshair and placing blocks
Here is how jump bridging and safe bridging works
If you place a block and, while standing on the ground, walk forward, then you will create an intent facing away from you.

This is what almost all bedrock bridging mods do and dont do the rest of things this mod does and this is what they call ''reach around placement''.
You are standing on a block and facing blocks next to it, you can place a block.
This mod also ports bedrock edition block placement speed so you can not fall of while jump bridging.
Is this cheating?
This mod is intended for singleplayer, modpacks, and small multiplayer servers where everyone is fine with it.
It should not be used on competitive servers where it would provide an unfair advantage. Using it on such servers will get you banned.
