Acidglow's Deep Yield

Make deep mining a little more rewarding.

Acidglow's Deep Yield adds a configurable chance for bonus drops from naturally generated deepslate ores.

Mine as usual and occasionally hit a richer ore that rewards you with extra copies of its normal drops — without adding new ores, tools, machines, or complicated progression systems.

By default, eligible ores have a 20% chance to trigger a bonus, with the possibility of receiving up to 5 additional copies of the normal drop.

⛏️ How It Works

Whenever an eligible, naturally generated deepslate ore is mined, Deep Yield rolls for a bonus reward.

If the bonus triggers, additional copies of the ore's normal Minecraft loot result are dropped.

With the default configuration:

20% Bonus Chance → Up to +5 Extra Drops

The result is still based on what Minecraft would normally drop from that ore, allowing Deep Yield to work naturally alongside existing enchantments and loot mechanics.

No new ore tiers. No special pickaxes. No separate progression system.

Just an occasional reason to get excited when breaking deepslate ore.

🍀 Fortune Support

Deep Yield applies its bonus after Minecraft calculates the normal drop.

That means Fortune continues to work as expected.

If Fortune increases an ore's normal yield, a successful Deep Yield bonus can reward additional copies of that resulting drop.

This allows Fortune and Deep Yield to complement each other instead of replacing or bypassing Minecraft's normal mining mechanics.

✨ Silk Touch Support

Silk Touch also works normally with Deep Yield.

When an eligible ore is mined using Silk Touch, the normal drop is the ore block itself.

If Deep Yield triggers, you can receive additional copies of that ore block instead of raw materials.

Both Fortune and Silk Touch bonus behavior can be controlled through the configuration.

🛡️ No Infinite Ore Loops

Deep Yield is designed to reward ores you discover while mining, not ores repeatedly placed by the player.

Ores placed in Survival will not trigger another Deep Yield bonus.

This prevents loops such as:

Mine → Receive bonus ore → Place ore → Mine again → Repeat

Fortune and Silk Touch still behave normally on placed ores — only the additional Deep Yield reward is prevented.

🧱 Modded Ore Support

Deep Yield automatically supports vanilla deepslate ores and can also work with compatible deepslate ores added by other mods.

This allows the bonus system to fit naturally into larger modpacks without being limited to vanilla resources.

Individual ores can also be excluded using the configurable ore blacklist.

⛏️ Vein Mining Support

Deep Yield is compatible with vein-mining systems that use Minecraft's normal drop mechanics and includes dedicated support for Ore Vein Miner.

When multiple ores are mined at once, each individual block receives its own Deep Yield roll.

A successful bonus applies only to that specific ore.

It never multiplies the drops from an entire vein at once.

⚙️ Configuration

Deep Yield includes server-side configuration options, allowing you to make the system as subtle or generous as you want.

You can configure:

• Bonus chance — How often Deep Yield activates
• Bonus size — Control the chance of receiving +1 through +5 additional copies
• Fortune support — Allow or prevent Fortune-affected drops from receiving bonuses
• Silk Touch support — Allow or prevent Silk Touch drops from receiving bonuses
• Creative-placed ores — Choose whether ores placed in Creative can activate Deep Yield
• Ore blacklist — Exclude specific ores from receiving bonus drops

This makes Deep Yield suitable for anything from a lightly enhanced vanilla experience to resource-heavy modpacks and servers.
