Adaptive Performance Tweaks: Items

Server-side Forge module that keeps TPS/FPS stable by clustering dropped items and XP orbs and by cleaning up garbage entities. Works standalone on the server; clients are optional.

Status ✅

Stable 11.x Classic / LTS module for existing Forge modpacks.

Critical fixes and compatibility updates may be provided when needed. New features, new loader support, and modern Minecraft version updates are developed in the new all-in-one Adaptive Performance Tweaks version.

Requirements 🧩

Requires Adaptive Performance Tweaks: Core

Features ✨

  • Server-side only; clients do not need to install the mod.
  • Pick only the modules you want; highly configurable via config files.
  • No core/mixin patches → broad mod compatibility.
  • Built-in debug info to see what the optimizer is doing.

⚠️ Always keep regular backups of your world.

Item & XP optimization ♻️

  • 🧲 Merges nearby dropped items to reduce entity count.
  • ✨ Clusters XP orbs in range and combines their values.
  • 🧹 Periodically cleans up excess/oldest items and adapts item lifespan to server load.
  • ⚡ Mitigates lag from large farms, mining sessions, and big TNT explosions.
  • 🔧 Pure server logic; no custom items are introduced.
