About

Description

Aden's Additions is a Minecraft mod that adds a new resource known as Peridot, which through careful crafting and interactions can be used to craft more powerful resources to be forged into weapons, mobs and special blocks. Peridot is able to be crafted into Peridot Composite Ingots and Perithyst Shards by merging Peridot with resources found across the world.

Avaliable for Forge 1.20.1 [Previous versions require Terrablender as a dependency]

New Blocks and Items:

Peridot, Peridot Composite Clump, Peridot Composite Ingot, Raptorial Armor Set:

Peridot can be crafted into a Calcite Altar which can convert Budding Amethyst Blocks (which can now be crafted) into Budding Perithyst Blocks. When a Budding Perithyst Block has a Soul Campfire underneath, and Calcite Altars activated with Peridot, it will slowly convert the Budding Amethyst to Budding Perithyst. When a Raw Copper Block is placed on this "activated" Budding Perithyst Block, it will fracture into Peridot Composite Clumps. From there, Peridot Composite Clumps can be smelted into Peridot Composite Ingots, which can be used to craft Raptorial Armor. Raptorial Armor has the protection value of iron while having two times the durability of netherite. Raptorial Armor also comes with some special full set bonuses:

  • Negated Fall: Applies the Negated Fall Effect, which completely negates fall damage at the cost of durability (every ten blocks fallen consumes one durability).
  • Camouflage: While wearing the full set, Aberrations will not become aggressive towards the player.

Perithyst Shard, Perithyst Cluster Blocks, Perithyst Scythe:

When the correct set-up (mentioned before) is utilized on Budding Perithyst Blocks, then Perithyst Crystals will begin growing. By harvesting Perithyst Shards, you are able to use them along with Peridot to craft the Perithyst Scythe. The Perithyst Scythe has a special ability where it allows the player to dash forward. The Perithyst Scythe also comes with some unique enchantments:

  • Accelerate (Maximum Level: IV): Sets the maximum amount of dashes to three and increases the total dash distance and speed per level.
  • Fracture (Maximum Level: III): After using the dash ability, the next hit will do extra damage (the multiplier is based on the level).
  • Overcharge (Maximum Level: I): When the Perithyst Scythe only has one dash left, then instead of activating the cooldown, it consumes one Perithyst Shard to dash.
  • Volley (Maximum Level: III): Allows the Perithyst Scythe to shoot Perithyst Shards by consuming a charge.

Other Miscellaneous Additions:

  • Aberration Mob and Tattered Plate Blockset
  • Trim Materials
  • Aberrant Sword and Enchantments
  • Potion Effects and Potions (Aberrant, Shard Synthesis and Negated Fall)
  • Primordial Sand, Red Sand and Clay (Peridot Ore)
  • Special Achievements

This is the second Minecraft Mod that I've ever made and I apologize if it's bad.

Thank you everyone who downloads my mod! :)
