Description

BCLib: New Dawn

BCLib: New Dawn is an unofficially maintained continuation of the BCLib library for Fabric and NeoForge.

The Fabric edition is based on the original BCLib codebase and includes continued maintenance, bug fixes, and other improvements.

The NeoForge edition ports the same functionality to NeoForge with the loader-specific changes required for compatibility.

Please make sure to download the correct file for your Minecraft version and mod loader.

BCLib is primarily a library used by BetterX mods and does not add significant standalone gameplay content.

How this project differs from the original

  • Loader/platform: supports both Fabric and NeoForge
  • Fabric edition: a maintained version of the original Fabric codebase with additional fixes and improvements
  • NeoForge edition: an unofficial port adapted for NeoForge
  • Goal: continued maintenance and consistent functionality across supported mod loaders
  • Scope: functionality is kept as close to the original project as reasonably possible, with shared bug fixes, general improvements, and loader-specific compatibility changes where required

BCLib (Unofficial NeoForge Port)

This project is an unofficial port of BCLib to NeoForge. It exists to make mods that depend on BCLib available on NeoForge for modern Minecraft versions. NeoForge only (not Fabric / not Forge).

What this project does

Provides the BCLib library on NeoForge (a dependency/utility library used by other mods, for example, NeoForge ports of BetterEnd/BetterNether).

The goal is to keep functionality as close to upstream as possible, with only porting/compatibility changes where required.

Why download it

Download this only if a mod/modpack requires BCLib on NeoForge. BCLib is a library and typically does not add standalone gameplay content on its own. Required on: both client and server.

How this project differs from the original

  • Loader/platform: NeoForge (upstream is Fabric)
  • Goal: compatibility for Minecraft on NeoForge
  • Scope: upstream-accurate behavior where possible; compatibility fixes when needed

Credits / Attribution

All artwork and the majority of the code belong to the developers of the original library: the BetterX Team.
