About

Description

Your pickaxe will be changed for the better AND for the worse, making durability more realistic, having your tools whittle down from such strenuous use much quicker and is much more affected by different factors.

Factors:

Weapon: When hitting an entity, more durability is lost (combined affliction) depending on the target's max health, armor amount, armor toughness, and the amount of damage the swing dealt to the target

Tool: When mining a block, more durability is lost (combined affliction) depending on the level of the ore, how long it takes to mine it (hardness), and a very slight affliction of 1 every so and so hits; a higher chance per block mined depending on how deep below sea-level the player is,

Armor: When getting hit, more durability is lost (combined affliction) depending on how much damage the target took, how much knockback the target took, the damage type, and close the attack was for anything ranged

And a very small chance of your tool instantly breaking upon use

Tools are down but not out:

Upon your gear breaking, it will be in a ruined state, in which you can repair, empower (with netherite scrap), or commemorate it.
Broken tools keep their name, enchantments, attributes, and lore.

Visualized tool damage:

When your gear gets damaged and loses its durability, it becomes visually damaged to help identify the stage of damage its in to encourage you know when the best time to head down and repair it is. (Only applies to vanilla gear--excluding copper because nobody uses it lol)

This is a fork of Ruined Equipment by Pepperoni__Jabroni__ for a newer version (26.1.x) with extended features.
