About
Description
One race, one player. An add-on for Tensura: Reincarnated that limits how many players on a server can have the same race. By default a race belongs to one player only: once somebody has taken it, everybody else has to pick another one.
It works on the server only: clients do not need the mod. Claims are saved with the world, so they survive restarts and offline players keep their race.
Requires Tensura: Reincarnated 2.0.1.3+ and Fabric API.
Not affiliated with the Tensura: Reincarnated team.
Features
- A global limit, per-race limits and "strictly unique" races.
- Evolution trees are reserved: taking Elf also holds Enlightened Elf, Elf Saint and Divine Elf.
- Human is free (the list is configurable).
- A taken race is refused in the reincarnation menu before any skills or EP are handed out, and the menu opens again.
- Players that are never limited, automatic release of inactive players, refusals written to the log.
- Texts in 33 languages, chosen by each player's game language.
- Every setting and message text is configurable, applied with a command. Races from other Tensura add-ons work without setup.
Good to know
- Evolving keeps your claim. Choosing another race or a reset (which makes you Human) releases it. Dying does not.
- Awakening, Harvest Festival, curses and admin commands are never blocked (Tensura applies their effects anyway), they are only recorded.
- Adding the mod to an existing world is safe: current races are recorded when players join, nobody is demoted.
Commands
/tensura unique show: the taken races and who holds them/tensura unique release race <race>andrelease player <name>: free a race or the claim of a player (operators)/tensura unique reload: reload the config (operators)
Configuration
config/tensura_unique_races.json, created on the first start. For example, two players per race and slime for three:
{
"maxPlayersPerRace": 2,
"perRaceLimits": { "tensura:slime": 3 }
}
All settings and ready-made recipes are in the configuration reference.
FAQ
A player left for good. How do I free their race?
/tensura unique release player <name>, or set inactiveReleaseDays to do it automatically.
Can I translate the messages?
33 languages are built in and picked by each player's game language (English is the fallback). To change a text, edit it in the config.
