Description
What if an armor stand didn’t just stand there?
Alive Armor Stands turns a simple wooden stand into a living companion. Craft it, place it, and watch it wake up — ready to follow you, protect you, work for you, and wear the gear you give it. It’s still an armor stand at heart… just one that finally came alive.
Getting started
Craft an Alive Armor Stand with sticks and stripped oak wood, then place it in the world. The stand belongs to whoever places it — so your companion is yours.

Right-click with an empty hand to open its control menu:
Follow Me — stays close and keeps up with you
Stay Here — freezes in place like a classic armor stand
Wander Around — walks about on its own
Inventory — opens its own chest-sized storage
Gear it up
Give it armor, weapons, tools, and even mob heads. What you put in its hands and on its head changes what it can do.
Shift + right-click with an empty hand to take gear off piece by piece. You can also dye its wooden body like leather armor — mix dyes for custom colors.
Combat companion
Hand it a sword and it hunts hostile mobs. Give it a bow or crossbow and it fires without needing arrows — endless shots, always ready.
It fights beside its owner like a loyal wolf: if you attack something, it joins in. Friendly stands won’t fight each other… unless they’re wearing hostile mob heads, which can turn them against anything — including other stands.
Mob heads change its personality:
| Head | Behavior |
|---|---|
Creeper
Charges and explodes
Skeleton
Fights with a bow
Zombie
Melee fighter; slower; burns in sunlight
Wither Skeleton
Melee attacks that apply Wither
Player Head
Aggressive melee hunter
Dragon Head
Shoots dragon-breath orbs
Piglin Head
Peaceful — barters gold instead of fighting
Work & adventure
Axe — chops wood and leaves, then picks up the drops
Pickaxe — mines ores and stores what it finds
Shears — shears leaves and collects them
Fishing Rod — fishes near water
Horse — mounts a nearby saddled horse and can ride with you
Boat — hops into boats
Carrot on a Stick — pigs follow it
Sticks — eats them when hurt to recover a little health
Piglin Head + Gold — barters for loot
When its inventory is full, it stops mining, chopping, shearing, and picking things up — so empty it when it’s packed.

Why you’ll love it
A living armor stand isn’t just decoration anymore. It’s a fighter, a worker, a traveler, and a customizable companion — all in one wooden friend that finally has a mind of its own.
