Description

Alkafir's Factory Lights

Finally, a proper lighting solution for your massive builds. No more torch spam every 12 blocks. No more glowstone plastered on every surface. Just powerful, directional lights that actually illuminate large areas the way real industrial lighting does.

Floodlights

Wide-angle industrial lights with a 90-degree cone that covers huge floor areas from a single fixture. Mount them on any surface — ceilings, walls, floors — and tilt them to aim exactly where you need light. Perfect for warehouses, factory floors, and open-air builds.

Spotlights

Focused 30-degree beams for precision lighting. Same mounting flexibility as floodlights with full tilt control. Use them to highlight specific areas, light up long corridors, or create dramatic accent lighting in your builds.

Factory Lights

Flat ceiling-mounted panels with a massive 150-degree spread. These are your workhorse lights for any indoor space. Mount them on the ceiling and forget about them — they blanket the area below in even, bright light. The wide model spans two blocks for that authentic industrial look.

Sunlight Distributer

Bring real daylight underground. Place this block with a clear view of the sky and it opens its mirror panels, distributing sunlight in a sphere around it. During the day it provides full brightness out to 32 blocks. At night the panels close and it runs on stored energy at a reduced light level. Undead mobs caught in its light burn just like they would in real sunlight.

Upgrade it with up to four Lens Upgrades to extend its range all the way to 128 blocks. Install a Phasing Lens and the light passes straight through solid blocks — illuminating entire cave networks from a single point. The Phasing Lens is an endgame item requiring a Nether Star, Echo Shards, and Netherite to craft.

Sunroof

A glass skylight that channels daylight into the space below. During the day it projects a wide cone of sunlight downward, burning any undead caught in the beam. At night it goes dark. Right-click to open the top hatch and create a vertical access point — players can jump or fall straight through. Place one above a Sunlight Distributer and the distributer can see the sky through it.

How They Work

Every light calculates a realistic cone of illumination based on its position, angle, and distance to surfaces. The cone respects line of sight — objects in the way cast proper shadows. Place a pillar in front of a floodlight and the area behind it stays dark.

Tilt any floodlight or spotlight by shift-clicking the sides. The light cone follows the lamp head in real time. Lights react to changes in the environment — build a wall in front of one and the shadow appears automatically.

Redstone Control

Each floodlight, spotlight, and factory light comes in two variants. The standard version turns on with a redstone signal. The inverted version is always on and turns off with redstone. Hook them up to daylight sensors, switches, or any redstone contraption.

Available Materials

Floodlights, spotlights, and factory lights come in Iron, Copper, and Gold variants. Same performance, different aesthetics. Pick whatever matches your build palette.

Requirements

Minecraft 26.1.2, NeoForge 26.1.2+, and GeckoLib.
