This analog horror experience transforms your once-innocent Minecraft experience as you encounter two terrifying entities: Pale Face, with its hauntingly vacant stare, and Shrieking Silhouette, whose blood-curdling cries resonate in the darkness. As you navigate this twisted realm, random messages flicker across your screen begging for help. The mod warps your surroundings and twisting familiar landscapes into nightmarish scenes, leaving you on edge as dread seeps into every block and pixel.
(Configuration)
type /config showfile alone_in_the_dark COMMON into minecraft chat.
We recommend using Configured mod to access the config easier (optional, not required)
1.0 is the HIGHEST spawn rate for the entities, 9.0 is the default (lowest) so it acts as a slow burner mod. By setting both entities to 1.0 spawn rate they will spawn very frequently.
(Spoilers) Detailed description of what the mod entails:
This mod adds 2 terryfieing entities which follow, hunt and stalk you. The entities are programmed to follow you, and will do so everywhere. Be careful in the mines and at night, as they will be there. The entities have a small chance of spawning at day, but will mainly do so during night, thunder storms or underground.
The mod also adds an analog horror sense into the game, projecting eerie messages on to your screen such as "help". You may also hear a frequent legacy vanilla cave noise, but its distorted to make the game feel even creepier
The "night event" as seen in the config panel occurs very rarely at any moment, switching your day to night and playing a creepy sound track, during this time the entities have a much higher chance of spawning.
This mod contains multiple jump scares, especially if you are in darkness.
