This mod adds the Spotted Hyena into the game.
Set in hot, arid environments, usually with unique survival challenges like managing heat and finding water.

Description
This mod adds the Apex Predator the Spotted Hyena into the game which are feliformia carnivoran mammals (cat-like carnivorans).
These opportunistic carnivores will go on a hunt whenever a chance arises.
With a low chance of 10% you can tame them to not attack you or your pets, but they wont follow you.
They will heal themselves when eating food from the ground. (Small healing when biting too!)
When they are far away from their target then they will run faster and if they are closer they will walk slower towards their target
and leaping at them when they are near enough, delivering a strong bite at the end.
They wont let their target escape until there is a large distance between them.
Did i mention it that they are great swimmers?
You can find them in the desert or savannah biomes. (They are a bit rare to not clear every mob from your world)
In forge you can change this and other spawn settings by editing the json files in the data -> biome tags and biome modifier folders or via resource pack and in fabric there is a config file for it.
