This mod adds the Fennec Fox as a mob to your world.
You can find them in the desert biome.
(In forge you can change this and other spawn settings
by editing the json files in the data -> biome tags and biome modifier folders
or via resource pack
and in fabric there is a config file for it)
Because they are omnivorous, you can tame them with any food item.
If untamed then it will panic when it gets hit and will also avoid nearby entities except when its sleeping or when the entity is crouching.
If there is an item near to it on the ground, it will bite it and take it along on its journey
and if the equipped item is a food item it will eat it when it loses health.
Their equipped items can be taken away by their owner when interacting with them with empty hands.
When they don't have an item in their mouth they will hunt for rabbits or chicken.
If its untamed then it will lay down to sleep sometimes.
If its tamed then it will only lay down if you put it in wandering mode.
As fennec foxes are nocturnal they will sleep more if its day time.
And if they are in sleep mode then every ~10 second they restore 1 health.
Babies will follow their parent and won't attack, but can still equip items.
They have 3 type of behaviors
-wandering (wanders around, if tamed then it will wander around the block you put it into wandering mode)
-sleeping (stays in place)
-following (follows owner)
Before the mob spawns it checks the area around the position if there is already another mob of this type around.
If yes then it will check how many.
And in the config you can also change how big of an area it should check around the mob spawn point and a max number.
If there are more mobs in that area then the max number then it won't spawn the new mob.
This option is to prevent overspawning.
