❤️ Animated Half Heart

In vanilla Minecraft, losing half a heart leaves a static half-heart icon at the end of the health bar

Animated Hearts replaces it with a full heart that smoothly fades in and out, making the remaining health easier to notice without changing the original HUD style

✨ Regeneration Effect

Vanilla regeneration makes individual hearts jump while health is being restored

Animated Hearts adds a smooth wave that travels across the entire health bar during regeneration

The wave follows the position of each heart and stays aligned even when hearts jump during the vanilla healing animation

The effect also works with multiple rows of health

☠️ Poison Effect

When the player is poisoned, small animated bubbles appear around the poisoned hearts, making the effect more noticeable while keeping the vanilla heart style

The bubbles work with blinking hearts, half-hearts, and multiple rows of health

🔥 Burning Hearts

When the player is on fire, animated flames appear directly around the hearts

The flames follow the health bar and make fire damage feel more noticeable while keeping the icons clearly visible

The effect works with different heart types, armor and multiple rows of health

🎨 Other Visual Effects

The mod also includes several additional HUD animations and improvements

  • Animated water effect while underwater
  • Animated heart pulse at low health
  • Shine effect across absorption hearts
  • Silver shine when wearing a full armor set
  • Animated wave across the experience bar
  • Support for multiple rows of health
  • Support for vanilla and modded status effects

⚙️ Configuration

Animated Hearts includes an in-game configuration screen where most visual effects can be enabled, disabled and customized separately

Available settings include:

  • Animation speed
  • Animation smoothness
  • Animation FPS
  • Effect transparency
  • Health thresholds
  • Individual settings for different visual effects

🖼️ Resource Pack Support

Animated Hearts uses Minecraft HUD textures instead of replacing them with custom heart textures

This allows the animations to automatically match most resource packs that change the vanilla heart icons

Animated Hearts is a client-side visual mod and does not change health, damage or other gameplay mechanics
