Anvil Rework removes the arbitrary vanilla anvil level cap while keeping familiar Minecraft mechanics and enchantment compatibility.
Features
• Shows and charges the real operation cost above 39 levels.
• Configurable maximum price, or no maximum price at all.
• Item renaming costs 1 level by default.
• Material repairs do not endlessly increase the future prior-work penalty.
• Vanilla enchantment compatibility rules are preserved.
• Enchantment levels stay within their normal maximum unless explicitly enabled in the JSON configuration.
• Configurable anvil damage chance.
• Damaged anvils can be repaired with iron ingots.
• Broken anvils can be restored through crafting.
• Server-side JSON configuration.
• English and Russian localization.
Installation
1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.20.1.
2. Install Fabric API.
3. Put AnvilRework-1.0.0+mc1.20.1-fabric.jar into the mods folder.
4. For multiplayer, install the mod and Fabric API on the server. Client installation is recommended for correct cost display.
Compatibility
Built for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1, Fabric Loader, and Java 17. The mod uses vanilla screens and standard registries and is designed to remain compatible with Sodium, Lithium, JEI/REI, and content mods.

The configuration file is generated in config/anvil_rework.json after the first launch.
