Apricity : Held Item Tooltips

Apricity : Held Item Tooltips is a lightweight client-side mod that recreates Minecraft Bedrock’s characteristic background behind the name of your selected hotbar item.

Designed to fit naturally into the vanilla HUD, the background automatically adjusts to the width of the item’s name. Minecraft’s original text, rarity colors, custom names, translations, and text styles are preserved, along with the usual position, display duration, and fading animation.

Features

  • Faithfully reconstructed Bedrock-style background with its distinctive corners and transparency.

  • Dynamic width that follows the selected item’s name.

  • Support for vanilla and modded item names.

  • Background fading synchronized with the vanilla text.

  • Resource pack customization for the texture, borders, spacing, and opacity.

The default background is included, so you can install the mod and start playing immediately. An optional example resource pack is provided to help you create your own appearance.

Requirements: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.220 or later.

Install the mod on your client only. It can be used on servers that do not have it installed.
