Description

💍 Arcanes Amulets

High risk, high reward magic rings for Minecraft.

Have you ever wanted powerful passives in Minecraft, but felt that standard mods make the game way too easy? Arcanes Amulets introduces a set of extremely useful rings—but with a twist: they are heavily demanding to maintain. If you get careless, their upkeep costs will punish you instantly.

✨ Features (v0.1.0-beta)

🔴 Amulet of Preservation

  • Effect: Prevents item and XP loss upon death (KeepInventory effect). Upon respawning, your saved inventory, equipped rings, and remaining XP are completely restored!
  • Self-Repair: The amulet consumes picked-up XP to repair its durability. You can also crouch (sneak) while holding the amulet to manually convert your XP points into instant durability repairs.
  • Dynamic XP Cost: The cost to save your life isn't flat—it is dynamically calculated based on the total value, material rarity, and enchantments of your entire inventory!
  • Common Items & Blocks: Low cost.
  • Tiered Equipment: Higher costs based on materials (Wood/Leather < Stone < Gold < Iron < Diamond < Netherite).
  • Enchanted Gear: Adds an extra XP penalty per enchantment level.
  • Containers & Valuables: Ender Chests and Shulker Boxes carry severe XP weight penalties.
  • The Ultimate Penalty: If your current total XP is lower than the calculated inventory weight cost upon death, the amulet shatters permanently, and all your items drop on the ground as normal.

🟢 Amulet of Experience

  • Effect: Multiplies all collected XP by 2.5x.
  • Self-Repair: The amulet consumes collected XP to repair itself. You can also crouch (sneak) with the amulet in hand to manually feed your XP into it for quick repairs!
  • Upkeep Cost: Each XP multiplication event adds exhaustion to your hunger bar.
  • The Penalty & Overload: If your hunger reaches zero, the amulet forcibly drains 0.5 Hearts (1 HP) per XP event down to a limit of 0.5 Hearts remaining
  • Safety Mechanism: While equipped in a trinket slot, the amulet prevents you from dying directly to hunger damage. However, reaching critical health (0.5 Hearts) damages the amulet and forces it into a 30-second cooldown, temporarily disabling its multipliers.

🛠️ Mechanics & Customization

⚙️ Core Mechanics: Dynamic Drain

Unlike passive trinkets that give you free buffs, these rings feature a Dynamic Upkeep System.

  • They reward players with well-established resource farms (XP farms, food automation).
  • They force you to manage your resources carefully before embarking on dangerous adventures.

🎨 Customizable Ring HUD

Keep track of your active ring's drain and status in real-time! The mod features a dedicated HUD Screen that lets players move, scale, and customize the ring overlay position on their screen to fit any custom UI setup.

⚡ Admin Commands

Server owners and admins have full control over item valuation and balancing using the /arcanesadmin command suite:

  • /arcanesadmin open — Opens an in-game JEI-style visual menu to manage item values/weights (In-game player only).
  • /arcanesadmin set <item> <weight> — Sets a custom XP weight for a specific item (e.g.,
  • /arcanesadmin set minecraft:diamond_sword 500).
  • /arcanesadmin remove <item> — Removes a custom weight, restoring default calculation.
  • /arcanesadmin list — Lists all currently customized items.
  • /arcanesadmin itens [page] — Browses all registered items (vanilla + mods), 15 per page, with interactive chat navigation buttons ("« Previous" and "Next »").

🔮 Roadmap & Future Updates

This is currently the v0.1.0-beta release. The full vision for the mod includes:

  • 7 More Elemental Rings (Water breathing, speed boost, night vision, fire resistance, strength, flight, and regeneration).
  • Custom Ring Fuels (Including bat drops and crafted vacuum wings).
  • 👑 The Ultimate Ring: Combine all 9 rings into one supreme artifact with unified costs.💬

💭 Feedback & Bug Reports

  • Since this is an early beta build, balancing XP and Hunger consumption rates is crucial. Please report any bugs or suggestions on our issue tracker!
