Arcanus: Legacy is a small magic mod with a magic system inspired by Wynncraft and EB Wizardry
Themed around magical elements, mythical creatures, and enchanted worlds, often inspired by fantasy literature and folklore.
Centers around fantasy elements such as spells, rituals, and magical energies, often involving personal empowerment and magical automation.
Includes a large focus on traversing worlds with enhanced world generation, structures, dungeons, and more for players to find unique loot.
Includes magical spells, wands, and other casting tools.
Features structures with designs often found in RPG games, typically tiered and full of monsters or traps.
Contains enhancements to village mechanics, expanding on existing features or adding entirely new ones.

Arcanus: Legacy is being discontinued
There's a new version that I've decided is going to be the version going forward. It was originally a separate project so people could still have old school Arcanus, but I don't have any interest in maintaining it.
You can find the new Arcanus here.
Arcanus is a magic mod with a magic system inspired by Wynncraft and Electroblob's Wizardry, along with new trinkets, structures, and threats sometime SoonTM in future updates.
To get started, you want to find yourself a Library (Village or Stronghold), or a Ruined Portal. Village Libraries have a guaranteed Spell Book, the rest are up to chance.
When you find a Spell Book, all you have to do is read it to learn that spell, and you are now able to cast it using the left and right mouse buttons to create the pattern defined in the book.
You can also use /spells list at any time to see all the spells, as well as their patterns, that you know.

Learning Spells:
In order to learn Spells, you need to find Spell Books. These can be found in Village Libraries, Stronghold Libraries, and Ruined Portal chests. When you read a Spell Book, you will learn how to cast a spell.
Spell Books contain the Pattern that defines a given Spell.
Spell Casting:
Casting Spells requires that you know a given Spell. All you have to do is have a Wand in your main hand, and use the Left and Right Mouse Buttons to create the Pattern of a Spell.
Mana Flasks:
Mana Flasks are a way for Mages to store Mana for later. In order to fill a Mana Flask, all you have to do is Sneak + hold Right Click, while having at least 5 Mana available.
Display Case:
Display Cases are decorative blocks that can hold any item. To open or close them, all you have to do is Shift + Right Click them, and to place an item in them all you have to do is Right Click it while it's open with the item you wish to place inside.
Display Cases also are able to emit a Comparator output depending on whether they're open or closed.
You can use /spells list at any time to see all the spells, as well as their patterns, that you know.
