Architects Time × Serene Seasons

Architects Time × Serene Seasons is a compatibility addon for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge that connects the calendar system from Architects Time with the environmental season systems provided by Serene Seasons.

Architects Time becomes the authoritative calendar and season clock while Serene Seasons continues handling its foliage, temperature, precipitation, snow, crop fertility, tropical-season behavior, and other environmental seasonal effects.

How It Works

Architects Time's Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter states are mapped to Serene Seasons' twelve subseasons.

Architects Time's Early, Mid, and Late season structure is preserved:

  • Early: First 25% of the season
  • Mid: Middle 50% of the season
  • Late: Final 25% of the season

Rather than simply snapping Serene Seasons between Early, Mid, and Late states, the addon continuously maps progress through each corresponding Serene Seasons subseason.

This allows Serene Seasons' environmental transitions to remain smooth while Architects Time remains the source of truth for calendar progression.

Season Mapping

  • Spring → Early, Mid, and Late Spring
  • Summer → Early, Mid, and Late Summer
  • Autumn/Fall → Early, Mid, and Late Autumn
  • Winter → Early, Mid, and Late Winter

Serene Seasons does not maintain a separate authoritative server season clock while this compatibility addon is active.

Serene Seasons Integration

Serene Seasons continues to provide its normal environmental systems, including:

  • Seasonal foliage and color changes
  • Temperature changes
  • Rain and precipitation behavior
  • Snow
  • Seasonal crop fertility
  • Tropical seasonal behavior
  • Other Serene Seasons environmental effects

The compatibility addon synchronizes seasonal progression rather than recreating these systems.

Synchronization

Season state remains synchronized across:

  • World saves and reloads
  • Server restarts
  • Sleeping
  • Time advancement
  • Architects Time calendar commands
  • Dedicated servers
  • Multiplayer

Architects Time remains authoritative throughout.

Requirements and Compatibility

  • Minecraft: 1.21.1
  • Mod Loader: NeoForge 21.1 or newer
  • Java: 21
  • Architects Time: 0.1.0 or newer
  • Serene Seasons: 10.1.0.3 or compatible 10.1.x release
  • Environment: Client and Server

Architects Time × Serene Seasons must be installed alongside Architects Time and Serene Seasons on both the server and connecting clients.

GlitchCore is required through Serene Seasons.

Version 0.1 Limitations

Version 0.1 supports the four standard seasonal identities:

  • Spring
  • Summer
  • Autumn/Fall
  • Winter

Custom Architects Time season systems outside those four seasons are not currently mapped to Serene Seasons.
