Description

The Atlas Project: Sound Resources

What does this mod do?

This mod is a modpack dev tool, and was created for the modpack of the same name. It simply registers custom OGG sound files into the game as a mod. This then allows you to play any of the sounds through the "/playsound" command.

With mods such as Onslaught, BetterQuesting, LostCities, etc all allowing commands to be run through them during certain stages or conditions, any sound registered by a mod can be played. Not only is this a resource for my pack, but also a concept that other people can adapt. The code is open source, and with some basic copy pasting and editing, anyone can fork it to add sounds they want to their own mod. The hardest part is actually setting up IntelliJ IDE.

You can also just use this mod, which (will eventually) contain hundreds of sound effects (or even replace them with a resourcepack). An index can be found in the mod's root directory.
