Description

Attribute Crafting

Attribute Crafting adds a recipe-based way to add or increase item attribute modifiers in Minecraft.

Features

  • Add or increase item attributes through crafting recipes
  • Preserve existing item NBT and data components
  • Support JSON recipes
  • Optional KubeJS Schema and event support
  • Optional JEI recipe display with multi-attribute tooltips

Different from Vanilla Recipes

Unlike ordinary vanilla crafting recipes, Attribute Crafting starts with a copy of the target item.

This means the target item's existing NBT and data components are preserved while the attribute modifier is added or updated.

The attribute amount is updated using:

new amount = min(old amount + amount, max)

Usage

Recipes can be added through JSON or KubeJS.

For the JSON format, KubeJS Schema usage, and KubeJS event documentation, see the GitHub repository:

GitHub Documentation

The mod does not include default recipes.

Attribute Export Commands

Attribute Crafting includes client-side commands for exporting all attributes registered in the current game instance:

  • /attrcraft json
  • /attrcraft markdown
  • /attrcraft tsv

Run one of these commands after entering a world. The generated file is saved in the attrcraft_exports folder in the game directory.

Each export includes the attribute ID, the display name from the current client language, and the translation key. If no translation is available, the attribute ID is used as a fallback.

Optional Integrations

  • KubeJS: add recipes through Schema and listen for the attributeApplied event
  • JEI: view Attribute Crafting recipes and inspect multiple attributes with paged tooltips
