Description
Attribute Swap Window
Attribute Swap Window is a lightweight Fabric mod that restores attribute swapping and gives players and server owners control over the swap timing window.
It is designed especially for modern Minecraft PvP mechanics involving fast item swaps, including Spear, Mace, and other attribute-based combat interactions.
One Fabric JAR — works in Singleplayer and on Dedicated Fabric Servers.
In Singleplayer, the mod runs through Minecraft's integrated server, allowing you to customize attribute swapping locally.
On Multiplayer Fabric servers, the mod runs server-side and controls the swap behavior for all connected players.
The mod does not provide client-side attribute swapping advantages on multiplayer servers that do not support Attribute Swap Window server-side.

- Open a Singleplayer world
- Run:
/aswap status
That's it!
Attribute Swap Window will run through Minecraft's integrated server and control attribute swapping in your Singleplayer worlds.
🖥️ Dedicated Fabric Server
- Install Fabric Loader on the server
- Place the Attribute Swap Window
.jarinside the server'smodsfolder - Start the server
- Run:
/aswap status
to confirm that the mod is running.
When installed on a Fabric server, the server controls the attribute swap behavior for multiplayer gameplay.
⚙️ Commands
/aswap status — Shows the current mod status and swap window.
/aswap window <ticks> — Changes the swap timing window from 1–20 ticks.
/aswap on — Enables the custom swap window.
/aswap off — Disables the custom swap window.
/aswap reload — Reloads the mod configuration.
⏱️ Swap Window
Minecraft normally runs at 20 ticks per second, meaning one tick is approximately 50 milliseconds.
- 1 tick = 50 ms
- 2 ticks = 100 ms
- 4 ticks = 200 ms
- 6 ticks = 300 ms
- 10 ticks = 500 ms
- 20 ticks = 1000 ms
For example:
/aswap window 6
sets the attribute swap window to approximately 300 milliseconds.
A higher value provides a more forgiving swap window, while a lower value requires more precise timing.
🎮 Singleplayer Support
Attribute Swap Window can be installed directly in your Minecraft client's mods folder for Singleplayer use.
Minecraft Singleplayer worlds run an internal integrated server, allowing Attribute Swap Window to apply the same server-side attribute swap logic locally.
This means you can use and configure the mod normally without setting up a separate dedicated server.
🖥️ Multiplayer Support
Attribute Swap Window also supports Dedicated Fabric Servers.
When installed on a Fabric server, the server controls the swap window and applies the mechanic to multiplayer gameplay.
Installing the mod only on your client does not allow you to bypass the combat rules of multiplayer servers that do not have Attribute Swap Window installed server-side.
🛡️ Multiplayer Safety
Attribute Swap Window is not intended to function as a client-side combat cheat.
Its behavior depends on the environment:
Singleplayer
→ Minecraft's integrated server controls the mechanic.
Dedicated Fabric Server
→ The dedicated server controls the mechanic for multiplayer gameplay.
Unsupported Multiplayer Server
→ Installing Attribute Swap Window only on the client does not provide custom server-side attribute swapping behavior.
