About

Ever wanted to wear your creatively designed banners as a cape? Now you can! Banner capes can be equipped in the chest slot. Banner capes are compatible with the Curios API's Back slot (on 1.21.1 only). Rendering priority will be given to the chest armor slot, and the cape will be hidden when wearing an elytra.
Curios API is NOT supported on versions above 1.21.1
Crafting
Cape Harness
Craft a Cape Harness to get started. It's just 2 iron and some string.

Converting banners to capes
In a Smithing Table, combine any color banner with a Cape Harness to convert it to a Banner Cape.

Banner Elytra Capes
In a Smithing Table, combine a Banner Cape with an Elytra to convert it to an Banner Elytra Cape. The enchantments on your Elytra will transfer to the cape! These capes have the same durability and can accept the same enchantments as the Elytra. For technical purposes, Banner Elytra capes cannot be worn in the Curios slot, only the Chest armor slot.
