Client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 that hides barrier outlines in Survival, Adventure, and Spectator while keeping them visible in Creative. Other blocks are unaffected. No server install or Fabric API required.

Description

Barrierless is a client-side Fabric mod that hides the selection outline around Barrier blocks, making them less visually distracting during normal gameplay.

Current behavior

  • In Survival, Adventure, and Spectator, Barrier blocks have no selection outline.

  • In Creative, Barrier outlines remain visible.

  • Outlines for every other block are unchanged.

Requirements

  • Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11

  • Fabric Loader 0.18.1 or newer

  • Java 21 or newer

  • No additional mods required. Fabric API is not needed.

Install Barrierless in the mods folder of your Fabric client. It only needs to be installed on the client; no server installation is required.

Planned for a future update: Choose which game modes show Barrier outlines.
