Description

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ BaseCore

BaseCore is a technology-themed mod designed for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge), aimed at helping you build your own secure fortress. By placing a Base Core, you can claim territory, install various modules to gain buffs, and use powerful Defense Turrets and Encrypted Containers to repel invaders. Whether for solo survival or server PVP, BaseCore offers a deep base-building and defense experience.

โœจ Core Features

Base Core

The "heart" of your base. Once placed, it automatically generates a cubic protection range centered on itself.

  • Territory Claim: The first player to place it automatically becomes the Lord.
  • Range Protection: Facilities within this range share ownership and module effects.
  • Durability System: The Base Core has health points; if they reach zero, it turns into a "Damaged Device" (internal inventory is preserved).
  • Conflict Detection: The ranges of two Base Cores cannot overlap, ensuring clear territorial boundaries.

Defense Turret

An automated defense weapon capable of attacking enemies within range.

  • Multiple Modes: Switchable target modes (Hostile Mobs, Players, or All Targets).
  • Lord Control: The Lord can switch attack modes by Sneaking + Right-Clicking.
  • Module Enhancement: Supports installing modules to increase range, damage, defense, and auto-repair capabilities.

Encrypted Container

A secure storage solution strictly protected by base permissions.

  • Permission Management: Access can be set to "Self Only," "Base Members," or "Everyone."
  • Anti-Destruction: Unauthorized players cannot open it; attempting to break it will display a permission error.

โš™๏ธ Module System

Modules are the core items for upgrading base performance. You can install them in the Base Core or Defense Turrets to gain various powerful effects.

Base Buff Modules

  • Range Upgrade Module: Expands the base protection range (+6 blocks per level).
  • Defense Enhancement Module: Increases the Base Core's max health (+250 per module).
  • Security Module: Prevents other players from breaking blocks within the base.
  • Auto-Repair Module: Automatically repairs the Base Core's health every 15 seconds.
  • Status Effect Modules: Grants positive effects to members within range, such as Strength, Jump Boost, Speed, Haste, Regeneration, and Resistance.

Intrusion Interference Modules

  • Anti-Recon Module: Reveals invisible or disguised intruders.
  • Debuff Modules: Applies negative effects to invading players, such as Mining Fatigue, Weakness, and Slowness.
  • Thorns / Explosion Protection: Reflects damage to attackers or protects the core from explosion damage.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Parts Economy & Game Modes

BaseCore offers two distinct gameplay modes to suit different playstyles.

Mode Description
Modular Default Mode. Players craft modules to install into the Base Core or Defense Turrets to activate effects.
Component Economy Mode. Upgrades for the Base Core and Defense Turrets consume "Parts" directly, removing the need to craft modules. Ideal for server economy gameplay.

๐Ÿ’ฃ Special Items

  • Camouflage Device: Grants a "Camouflage" status effect. Higher levels last longer, useful for infiltration.
  • Protection Signal Jammer: Interferes with enemy Base Cores, forcing them into an intrusion state, and has a chance to drop parts.
  • Repair Device: Right-click a Base Core or Defense Turret to restore 50 HP.
  • EMP Bomb: A throwable bomb that deals massive damage to base facilities in an area and applies interference.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Basic Materials

The mod includes a series of technological materials used to craft cores, modules, and advanced items, such as:

  • Electronic Components
  • Simple/Refined Chips
  • Copper Wire & Cables
  • Antennas
  • Module Bases

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Configuration

The config file is located at config/basecore.json. You can adjust the gameplay mode, part drop percentage on death, and the part cost for upgrades.

{
  "gameplay": "modular",
  "part_death_drop_percent": 10,
  "upgrades": {
    "range_cost": 64,
    "defense_cost": 128,
    "secure_cost": 96
  }
}

๐Ÿ“ฅ Installation

  1. Ensure Minecraft 1.21.1 and the corresponding version of NeoForge are installed.
  2. Download the basecore-1.0.0.jar file.
  3. Place the JAR file into your game directory's mods folder.
  4. Launch the game. You can find all items in the "BaseCore" creative tab or via JEI/EMI.
