About
Description
BenchBoost
A standalone crafting-performance optimizer for modern Minecraft Forge.
BenchBoost reduces repeated recipe matching in crafting tables and the player inventory. It caches the last valid recipe, merges duplicate grid changes, and handles shift-click batch crafting without recalculating the same matrix after every crafted item.
Highlights
- Faster crafting-grid recipe matching
- Optimized shift-click batch crafting
- Duplicate update coalescing
- Defensive recovery from broken third-party recipes
- Stale-screen packet protection
- No gameplay or recipe-balance changes
- No Placebo or other library dependency
- Works on both dedicated servers and singleplayer
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.11 with Forge 61.2.0 and Java 21
- Minecraft 26.2 with Forge 65.1.0 and Java 25
Install the matching JAR on both the client and server. BenchBoost is for Forge only; it is not a Fabric or NeoForge build.
Tested, not guessed
Both versions pass unit tests and Forge's in-game GameTest server. The integration scenario verifies that the mixins load and that shift-clicking a full stack of oak logs consumes all 64 logs and produces exactly 256 planks.
Compatibility
BenchBoost targets vanilla-style inventory and crafting menu classes. Mods that
completely replace those classes may need a compatibility patch. Do not install
another FastWorkbench/FastBench-style crafting cache in the same Forge
instance. If you find a conflict, please attach latest.log and a minimal mod
list to the issue report.
Independent project and source
BenchBoost is an independent, unofficial MIT-licensed derivative of FastWorkbench. It is not an official FastWorkbench release and is not affiliated with its maintainers.
Please report BenchBoost issues to the BenchBoost repository, not to the FastWorkbench project.
