Better Librarians

Look at a librarian, see their books. A small title card lists every enchanted book a villager trades - no trading GUI, no hovering required. Rename villagers with colorful vanilla-style floating names. Client side, no keybinds.

  • Crosshair title card for librarians: profession, level and each enchanted book (Sharpness V)
  • Gold for max-level books, white otherwise
  • Villagers are catalogued on first trade; data persists across restarts
  • /vname <name> renames the villager you look at (& legacy codes + &#RRGGBB RGB), /vname clear removes it
  • Renames use the vanilla name system: they render like name tags, with the usual distance fade and occlusion
  • Clearing a rename or disabling the mod restores the villager's original name
  • Renames are client side only, so only you see them
  • Config: enabled, showLevel, highlightMaxLevel, maxBooks, showUncataloguedHint
  • Requires Mycel: install it alongside this mod
