BetterQoL is a comprehensive Quality of Life mod that brings powerful inventory management, intelligent mining tools, movement helpers, and useful overlays to your Minecraft gameplay. Every feature is fully configurable and designed to work seamlessly together.

🔧 Vein Miner

Mine entire ore veins, trees, or crop fields with a single action. Vein Miner intelligently breaks connected blocks while respecting tool requirements, enchantments, and game rules.

• Multiple activation modes: Toggle, hold key, or always on
• Three search shapes: VEIN (flood fill), COLUMN (vertical), and TUNNEL (geometric volumes)
• Configurable tunnels: 3x3, 5x5, or 7x7 cross-sections with adjustable depth

Quick Start

1. Install the mod - BetterQoL requires NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21+
2. Configure features - Open Options → BetterQoL to customize each module
3. Set keybindings - Go to Options → Controls → BetterQoL to bind keys
4. Start playing - All features work out of the box with sensible defaults

Configuration

BetterQoL uses a modular configuration system with separate files for different settings:

• betterqol-common.toml - Server-side settings (Vein Miner, Better Inventory)
• betterqol-client.toml - Client-side settings (Movement, Stats, Zoom)

Each feature can be enabled or disabled independently, and most settings can be changed in-game through the config screens.

Keybindings

All keybindings can be customized in Options → Controls → BetterQoL:

• Vein Miner Toggle - Activate/deactivate Vein Miner
• Undo Vein Miner - Reverse last Vein Miner action
• Cycle Shape Mode - Switch between search shapes
• Open Shape Config - Configure tunnel dimensions
• Toggle Auto-Run - Enable/disable automatic forward movement (default: R)
• Toggle Auto-Jump - Enable/disable automatic jumping (default: J)
• Zoom - Hold to zoom in (default: Z)

Requirements

• Minecraft: 1.21+
• NeoForge: Latest version for your Minecraft version
• Java: 21 or higher

Compatibility

BetterQoL is designed to be compatible with most mods. All features use standard Minecraft APIs and should work alongside other quality of life mods. Server-side features (Vein Miner, Better Inventory) require the mod on both client and server for full functionality.
