📖 Introduction
Tired of consuming your precious templates every time you use a smithing table? The Improved Smithing Table removes that limitation entirely! Now you can perform all smithing operations on a brand‑new table where templates are never consumed, while the base and addition ingredients are used as normal. Whether you’re upgrading to netherite gear or trimming your armor, every vanilla and data pack recipe works perfectly—using the exact same vanilla smithing table GUI, so there’s zero learning curve.
✨ Core Features
🔧 Templates Never Consumed
When using the Improved Smithing Table, templates (such as netherite upgrade smithing templates and armor trim smithing templates) are not consumed and can be reused infinitely. Base items and addition materials are still consumed according to vanilla rules.
📦 Full Recipe Support
Perfectly compatible with all vanilla smithing recipes, while also supporting any custom smithing recipes added via data packs—no extra configuration needed.
🤖 Hopper Automation
The Improved Smithing Table is a full container block that supports hoppers, pipes, and other automation:
- Templates, bases, and addition materials can be inserted into their respective slots from the top or sides.
- The resulting output can be extracted from the bottom (the base and addition are consumed; the template remains).
- Items persist inside the block entity, are dropped automatically when the block is broken, and the GUI stays synchronized with the automation state in real time.
