Description
> Containment failed.
> The Eclipse changed them. Now they are loose.
Beyond Containment – IGS is the official creature and hostile-entity expansion for the Eclipse Protocol universe, developed by Immortal Game Studios.
The mod adds corrupted lifeforms, unstable anomalies, escaped experiments, biological distortions, and Eclipse-born entities to Minecraft.
The world of Eclipse Protocol is already broken.
Beyond Containment makes it worse.
Overview
Restricted facilities studied organisms, experimental treatments, anomalies, and forces that were not fully understood.
When the Eclipse disrupted power, communication, security systems, and military control, containment failed.
Research sites went silent.
Blacksite systems collapsed.
The entities inside those locations escaped into the world.
Beyond Containment represents the biological and anomalous side of Eclipse Protocol.
Hostile Entity Design
The creatures in Beyond Containment are connected to the setting and lore of Eclipse Protocol.
Their origins include:
- Failed containment procedures
- Corrupted experiments
- Eclipse energy
- Biological mutation
- Abandoned research programs
- Infected humans or animals
- Unstable anomalies
- Classified military projects
- Unknown organisms
The mod focuses on hostile encounters that create fear, pressure, uncertainty, and survival risk.
Gameplay Focus
Beyond Containment adds threats designed for:
- Direct combat
- Ambush encounters
- Dark environments
- Restricted facilities
- Corrupted areas
- Underground exploration
- High-risk survival zones
- Lore-connected encounters
The entities make exploration more dangerous and give abandoned locations a stronger connection to the collapse.
Features
- Custom Eclipse-themed mobs
- Hostile corrupted entities
- Anomaly-inspired creature designs
- Biological and experimental threats
- Custom models
- Custom textures
- Custom animations
- Dark post-apocalyptic creature design
- Lore-connected hostile encounters
- Eclipse-purple energy and visual details
- Survival-focused enemy encounters
- Integration with Eclipse Protocol and Project Dawn
World Integration
Beyond Containment fits locations such as:
- Abandoned cities
- Red zones
- Forests
- Underground facilities
- Research laboratories
- Military bunkers
- Blacksite complexes
- Ruined settlements
- Industrial areas
- Corrupted regions
The entities support the identity of these environments and reinforce the feeling that something escaped before the player arrived.
Visual and Design Direction
Beyond Containment uses a dark biological-horror style.
Creature designs include elements such as:
- Blackened or damaged bodies
- Mutated silhouettes
- Purple glowing eyes
- Unstable Eclipse energy
- Exposed biological structures
- Experimental implants
- Asymmetrical mutations
- Containment markings
- Worn restraints
- Signs of corruption
The mod does not use unrelated fantasy-monster design. Every entity belongs to the broken scientific, military, and anomalous world of Eclipse Protocol.
Lore Direction
Containment failed.
Blacksite systems collapsed, research teams disappeared, and restricted facilities continued operating without reliable human control.
Some entities were once human.
Some were altered animals or organisms.
Some were created through experiments.
Others are connected directly to the Eclipse.
Beyond Containment shows the consequences of the unknown escaping into the world.

Beyond Containment – IGS
Containment failed.
The Eclipse changed them. Now they are loose.
Beyond Containment – IGS is an official Immortal Game Studios creature and entity expansion for Minecraft, built for the Eclipse Protocol universe.
This mod brings the hostile results of the Eclipse into the game: corrupted lifeforms, unstable anomalies, containment breaches, and dangerous Eclipse-born entities that were never meant to exist outside controlled environments.
The world of Eclipse Protocol is already broken.
Beyond Containment makes it worse.
Overview
Beyond Containment adds custom Eclipse mobs designed around fear, pressure, atmosphere, and survival gameplay.
These entities are not normal monsters. They are the result of failed containment, corrupted experiments, unknown Eclipse energy, and biological distortion caused by forces no one fully understands.
Some creatures hunt directly.
Some stalk from the darkness.
Some feel more like anomalies than living beings.
Every encounter is designed to make the world feel more dangerous, unpredictable, and connected to the deeper lore of Eclipse Protocol.
Gameplay Focus
Beyond Containment focuses on hostile entity encounters, atmospheric horror, and survival pressure.
The mod is designed to make exploration more dangerous by adding threats that fit abandoned cities, ruined facilities, red zones, forests, bunkers, underground structures, and corrupted areas.
Players are meant to feel that something escaped before they arrived.
Features
- Custom Eclipse-themed mobs
- Hostile corrupted entities
- Anomaly-inspired creature design
- Glowing purple Eclipse eyes and energy details
- Dark post-apocalyptic visual style
- Lore-friendly hostile encounters
- Threats designed for Eclipse Protocol survival gameplay
- Creature concepts connected to containment breaches and failed experiments
- Designed to work with Project Dawn and Eclipse Protocol
- Built for a darker, more immersive Minecraft survival experience
Visual & Design Direction
Beyond Containment uses a dark Eclipse-based creature style.
Mobs are designed with blackened bodies, corrupted textures, purple glowing eyes, unstable Eclipse energy, mutated silhouettes, and a threatening post-apocalyptic presence.
The goal is not to add random fantasy monsters.
The goal is to create creatures that feel like they belong to a broken world shaped by the Eclipse.
Lore Direction
Containment failed.
Whatever was studied, created, or discovered inside restricted zones is no longer locked away.
Blacksite systems collapsed.
Research sites went silent.
And the things left behind now move through the ruins.
Some were infected.
Some were changed.
Some may never have been human or natural at all.
Beyond Containment expands the darker side of Eclipse Protocol by showing what happens when the unknown is no longer contained.
