Bird Watching

Whoa... where did all these birds come from?

Bird Watching adds a bunch of birds to Minecraft, and they seem very determined to make the world a little less empty.

You may be walking through a village, minding your own business, and suddenly notice a sparrow hopping around like it owns the place. You may pass by a quiet patch of water and find a night heron standing there with the patience of someone waiting for a very late bus. You may see budgerigars moving around in little groups, doves wandering through open ground, or pigeons doing what pigeons always do: being suspiciously comfortable everywhere.

The birds in this mod walk, fly, rest, forage, gather with their own kind, and react when something nearby feels dangerous. Some prefer water and wetlands, some like villages and fields, and some are just happy to wander around wherever the world gives them enough space and enough excuses.

Night herons usually appear near water. They are calm, quiet, and good at standing still in a way that makes you wonder whether they are hunting, resting, or silently judging your building choices.

Sparrows are small, quick, and much busier than they probably need to be. They fit well around villages, farms, paths, and places where crumbs might theoretically exist. If a peaceful rural scene feels like it is missing something, a sparrow can usually fix that.

Budgerigars bring more color and noise. They tend to appear in small lively groups, making the world feel a bit brighter and less lonely. They are tiny birds with the energy of creatures that believe every fence, branch, and patch of grass deserves an urgent meeting.

Spotted doves are calmer. They walk around open areas, fields, and quiet places with the relaxed confidence of birds that have no urgent plans and no interest in explaining themselves.

Pigeons are pigeons. They wander around, look busy, and somehow make almost any place feel like it has been part of their territory for years. If a pigeon appears somewhere strange, that is not necessarily a problem. That might simply be pigeon logic.

Bird Watching also includes a bird guide. You can use it to view the birds, read short notes about them, and check their animated previews. It is not a giant encyclopedia, but it is useful when you see something feathered in the distance and want to know whether it is rare, cute, suspicious, or all three.

There are bird-related blocks and items too, including bird cages, bird baths, and breadcrumbs. These can be used for decoration, small interactions, or simply for making your builds feel more lived in. A garden looks better with birds. A village feels better with birds. Even a random patch of grass becomes more interesting when something tiny lands there and immediately starts acting important.

Bird Watching is still being updated. More birds, sounds, behaviors, interactions, and little surprises may be added over time. The goal is to make Minecraft feel a bit more alive, a bit more natural, and occasionally a bit more ridiculous.

《观鸟》给 Minecraft 加了一些鸟，而且它们非常努力地想让这个世界显得没那么空。

这个模组里的鸟会走动，会飞行，会休息，会觅食，会和同类聚在一起，也会在觉得附近不太安全的时候赶紧离开现场。有些鸟喜欢水边和湿地，有些鸟更常出现在村庄和农田附近，也有些鸟只是单纯觉得这个地方不错，于是就来了。

夜鹭通常会出现在水边。它们安静、冷静，而且很擅长站着不动。你很难判断它到底是在捕食、休息，还是在认真评价你刚刚盖出来的房子。

麻雀很小，也很忙。它们适合出现在村庄、农田、小路旁，以及任何理论上可能存在食物碎屑的地方。如果一片乡村场景少了点生活气息，那么放几只麻雀进去通常就对了。

虎皮鹦鹉会带来更多颜色和动静。它们常常成群活动，让世界显得更热闹。虽然个头不大，但它们看起来总像是坚信每根树枝、每片草地、每个栅栏旁边都应该开一次小型会议。

珠颈斑鸠要安静一些。它们会在开阔地、田野和比较平缓的环境里慢慢走动，看起来没有什么急事，也完全不打算解释自己为什么在这里。

鸽子就是鸽子。它们会到处走，看起来很忙，而且总能让一个地方突然产生一种“这里好像早就被鸽子占领了”的感觉。如果你在某个奇怪的地方看到鸽子，那不一定是问题。也许只是鸽子觉得那里可以待。

模组里也有一本观鸟图鉴。你可以用它查看不同鸟类，阅读一些简单记录，并预览它们的动画。它不是一本特别严肃的大型百科，但当你远远看到一个长羽毛的小东西，并开始怀疑它到底是什么、可不可爱、可不可疑的时候，它就很有用了。

此外，模组还加入了一些鸟类相关的方块和物品，包括鸟笼、鸟浴盆和面包屑。它们可以用来装饰，也可以用于一些小互动，或者单纯让你的建筑和环境看起来更有人生活过。花园里有鸟会更自然，村庄里有鸟会更热闹，就算是一块普通草地，只要有小鸟落下来开始认真走来走去，也会突然显得重要起来。

《观鸟》还在继续更新。以后可能会加入更多鸟类、声音、行为、互动和一些小惊喜。这个模组的目标是让 Minecraft 多一点生命感，多一点自然气息，偶尔也多一点莫名其妙但很像鸟会干出来的事情。
