📖 About
Minecraft can sometimes feel a little too static.
Block Pulse is a small client-side mod that adds simple physical movement to some of the hanging blocks around you.
Chains, signs, bells, and lanterns can now react when you walk nearby. As you pass them, they start to swing naturally, gradually lose momentum, and return to rest.
Different objects have their own movement and feel, so they don't all behave exactly the same way.
🌿 Why Block Pulse?
The goal isn't to completely change Minecraft's physics.
It's about adding those small environmental details that make the world feel more believable.
Imagine:
🏘️ Walking through a village and watching a sign move as you pass.
🏮 Entering a dark dungeon and seeing a lantern gently swing.
⛓️ Moving underneath a hanging chain and watching it react to you.
These moments are simple, but they can make the world feel much less static.
🎯 Design Philosophy
Block Pulse is built around three simple ideas:
Small. Movement should add detail without becoming distracting.
Natural. Objects should feel like they have weight and momentum.
Vanilla-friendly. Everything should still look and feel like Minecraft.
There are no complicated physics systems and no changes to the way you build.
The blocks simply react to what's happening around them.
📦 Supported Objects
Block Pulse currently adds movement to:
- ⛓️ Chains
- 🪧 Hanging Signs
- 🔔 Bells
- 🏮 Lanterns
More supported objects may be added in the future.
