About

Description

This mod adds a Bomb Vest that can be worn in the chest slot. You are able to fill up the Bomb Vest with different types of Dynamite, each with their own unique explosive properties. Additionally, you can craft a variety of Detonators that allow you to explode the vest in different ways.

Dynamite

You may fill the Bomb Vest with up to 10 pieces of dynamite. You may place Dynamite in a Bomb Vest by right-clicking the vest in your inventory with the dynamite you wish to insert. Different types of dynamite can be put in one vest. The variants of dynamite are listed below.

Dynamite - Standard explosive material. Made from TNT

Dynamite from TNTDynamite Crafting

Volatile Dynamite - Relatively cheap to mass produce and stronger than regular dynamite. However, being hurt with this dynamite in your vest has a chance to make the vest explode. The chance for a misfire increases for every piece of Volatile Dynamite in the vest.

Volatile Dynamite Crafting

High-Explosive Dynamite - True to its name, High-Explosive Dynamite causes a much larger explosion than regular dynamite.

High-Explosive Dynamite from DynamiteHigh-Explosive Dynamite Crafting

Fragmenting Dynamite - Upon detonation, Fragmenting Dynamite releases shrapnel. Each piece of this dynamite in your vest increases the likelihood of any living creature caught in the explosion being struck by shrapnel for massive damage.

Fragmenting Dynamite Crafting

Packed Dynamite - The explosiveness of this dynamite increases with every piece of dynamite in your vest, but it expensive. Use a piece or two of Packed Dynamite to top off a vest filled with other dynamite types for maximum cost-efficiency.

Packed Dynamite Crafting

You can change the explosiveness of all dynamite types in the mod's config file.

Detonators

You may manually detonate your bomb vest with a detonator. Each detonator serves its own purpose.

Detonator - A standard detonator. Right click while wearing a bomb vest to detonate it. No gimmicks.

Detonator Crafting

Dead Man's Switch - Right-click while holding this and wearing a bomb vest to arm/disarm. While armed, any action that removes the detonator from your hand causes your bomb vest to explode. This includes swapping items, dropping the detonator, or dying. Make sure to right-click again to disarm it before swapping items.

Dead Man's Switch Crafting

Failsafe - Right-click while holding this and wearing a bomb vest to arm/disarm. While armed, dying with this in your inventory causes your bomb vest to explode.

Failsafe Crafting

Timed Detonator - Right-click to attach a 30-second timer to your bomb vest and make it start ticking. As the timer gets close to finishing, the ticking will increase in frequency. Once the timer finishes, the vest will detonate. The timer cannot be removed or rewinded, but can be paused by unequipping the bomb vest.

Timed Detonator Crafting

In addition to these crafting recipes, you may transmute detonators by combining the non-iron crafting ingredient of a detonator with any other detonator.

Detonator Transmutation

Bomb Vest

You may craft an empty Bomb Vest with leather, string, and gunpowder.

Bomb Vest Crafting

You may fill the vest with any type of dynamite by right-clicking it in your inventory with the dynamite selected.

Filling Bomb Vest

You may also remove dynamite from the vest, one variant at a time, by right-clicking an empty inventory slot with the vest. However, right-clicking a slot containing dynamite will specifically extract that dynamite variant.

Emptying Bomb Vest

You may check the contents of the vest at any time by hovering over it in your inventory.

Checking Bomb Vest Contents

Additionally, you may combine the vest with an iron, gold, or diamond chestplate at an anvil. This will conceal the vest while offering you the protection of the chestplate. You can't change the dynamite contents of a chestplate concealing a vest after making it (but you can still hover to view contents). Additionally, concealing the vest sacrifices some of the chestplate's durability and toughness.
