A lengthy escapade and a fierce scrimmage, followed by an effortless return home. Based on the Boss Rifts mod by jodlodi, but for the Fabric/Quilt-savvy users!

About

Description

This mod is based on and functionally reminiscent to the Boss Rifts mod by jodlodi and all ideas that went into this mod should be credited to that mod's author. The purpose of this mod (as it is, now that it's on CurseForge) is to provide a similar mod for the Fabric/Quilt-savvy users to enjoy! You can still use this on the NeoForge modloader (no Sinytra Connector needed) for any reason, to which it adjusts to the same compatibilities as is supported by the Boss Rifts — Compat+ mod. However I'd highly recommend using Boss Rifts along with the aforementioned Compat+ addon for that instead.

Boss warps is a mod that allows warp points to generate at the location of a boss entity proceeding its defeat. It is advisable to keep a distance after vanquishing your adversary however, as the animation that plays before generating the warp point will end in a bang. Right-clicking on the warp point will play a little animation before transporting all proximate entities around the spawn location of the player that activated it. Any entities that will be transported by the warp point will be indicated by beams linked to the warp point during the warping animation. Be warned however, for it is also important to note that the warp points cannot exist eternally and will disappear if it sticks around for a given amount of time (around 4000 in-game ticks which is equivalent to 3 minutes and 20 seconds), by which point it will play another animation before going off with another little bang, vanishing for good.

This mod will automatically support bosses that use the #forge:bosses#c:bosses or #bosswarps:spawns_warp entity tags. However, given how few bosses in the modding ecosystem actually register their bosses under these entity tags, the mod automatically provides its own branch of support for numerous bosses in the versions of Minecraft this mod's available to play in by registering them under the #bosswarps:spawns_warp tag or through datapack-based code. This also includes vanilla's Elder Guardian (although all three in a monument have to be slain before a warp point can spawn). That being said, the mod doesn't mandate the installation of every listed mod within each version simultaneously; rather, it adjusts to functionally accommodate the ones that are currently installed.

The primary criteria for enforced boss support from this mod is if the boss is only summonable in specific locations as opposed to anywhere. There is no point of supporting a boss that you can summon in your backyard, such as the vanilla's Wither. However, the mod can sometimes, albeit quite rarely for balance purposes (even more so with mini-bosses, though more frequently with bosses that spawn naturally in a different dimension than the overworld), include bosses that spawn via natural conditions as players may encounter them in the wild while venturing out miles upon miles away from home.

The lists shown below detail what mods and their respective bosses are supported by this mod manually.

IMPORTANT: It's been brought back to my knowledge that for the 1.20.1 version of the mod, the boss warp point will only teleport the player back to their spawn coordinates in the overworld upon use. This has been rectified in the 1.21/.1 version of the mod but as of the exasperating restrictions of MCreator as well as the base game in 1.20.1, I am yet to find a solution to this.

This mod is based on and functionally reminiscent to the Boss Rifts mod by jodlodi and all ideas that went into this mod should be credited to that mod's author. The purpose of this mod is to provide a similar mod for the Modrinth ecosystem for all Modrinth users to enjoy!

This mod will automatically support bosses that use the #forge:bosses, #c:bosses or #bosswarps:spawns_warp entity tags.

The lists shown below detail what mods and their respective bosses are supported by this mod manually. Each list's "Boss Exclusions" section details bosses that are tagged under #forge/c:bosses but have their warp point-generating capability revoked in order to enact anti-cheat measures and to counter balancing complications (such as phase transitions, bosses that precede another boss in a dungeon, etc.).

(1.20.1) You can disable warp point generation for certain bosses through the mod's config file (YOUR INSTANCE\config\boss warps; common.toml)
