About

Description

Adds dyeable, trimmable, upgradable boxing gloves to Minecraft. They can be crafted with 4 leather in a square, meaning they can be crafted without a crafting table. They have unique enchants and abilities, like natural knockback, that make them quite formidable once fully upgraded, but they won't last long until they are. They can be dyed and trimmed like leather armor, to give them a customizable flair, and they can be upgraded using Netherite. They can be dual-wielded, and you can use one while holding up a shield. They support several weapon enchants such as looting, mending, unbreaking, and fire aspect, and they have 4 unique enchants you can apply to them:

1. Jab - Double Attack Speed
2. Rising - When crouching, attacking will make you do a jumping uppercut, at the cost of hunger
3. Vulcan (Levels 1-5) - Throw a ghostly fist at your foes, at the cost of XP
4. (NEW for 1.0 release) Soaring - When gliding with Elytra… Press and hold the button of the glove that has Soaring to hold it out for a small boost to flight speed and to knock foes out of your way! Dive into the ground to unleash a small shockwave and to reduce or even cancel fall damage. Kinetic damage to yourself is also reduced while using this ability!

Enchants are available along with vanilla enchants, in loot tables, enchant tables, etc.

Hostile mobs have a chance to spawn with boxing gloves of their own, so be careful!

This mod includes a special secret involving using a particular combination of enchants and abilities against a particular mob… Can you find it?

Note: This is very much a work in progress. Graphics are not final and subject to change, and further refinement of mechanics and addition of content is planned to support compatibility with future Minecraft versions. There is no intent to support Forge or other modloaders besides Fabric at this time. I'm open to constructive criticism and suggestions!
