About

Description

Burn makes fire behave like a natural force without filling your game with new content. There are no new ores, tools, weapons, mobs, crafting recipes or texture packs to learn. Everything you see is built
from Minecraft's own textures, particles and sounds, so it fits right into a vanilla world.

Dry landscapes: Hot biomes like savannas, badlands and deserts now grow patches of dried grass, bushes and straw, and some trees carry clumps of dried leaves. These plants are just vanilla grass, fern and
leaf textures tinted to sun-bleached browns and golds. They blend in so naturally they look like they were always there.

Realistic fire spread: Fire races through dry vegetation, creeps slowly along the ground and leaves scorched coarse dirt behind it. Climate matters. Fires rage in hot, dry biomes, struggle in cold ones and
barely take hold in wet ones. Water-soaked blocks resist burning.

Embers: Burning blocks throw glowing embers that drift on the wind and can start new fires where they land. Burning wood occasionally pops, sending out a shower of sparks.

Fire Storms: In rare, dangerous weather events, the sky turns a smoky orange, the sun dims and embers rain down across the land, starting fires wherever they fall. Plumes of smoke rise over the burning
landscape while wind roars and fire crackles all around. Storms come in Light, Moderate and Severe strengths and never happen in snowy biomes.

Fully configurable: Fire spread, climate effects, ember behaviour and storm intensity can all be adjusted in a single config file. Server operators can start or stop storms with /wildfire firestorm.

Burn changes how your world feels, not what's in your inventory.
