Ever found that some cave dweller mods don't feel finished or polished? That most of the time you can kill one and it doesn't feel rewarding because usually there are no drops, essentially making it useless? Well I thought that too. So I looked at Farmer's Delight and my own imagination and realised that... I can make this in a way that hopefully nullifies some of these gameplay complaints! So I went to work for weeks adding drops for some of the most popular Cave Dweller mods with recipes compatible with Farmer's Delight and ███. As well as especially making my own Cave Dweller mob, with it's own terrain navigation system, stun system, structures.

Unique Cave Dweller Drops

Killing the Cave Dweller now drops a Cave Dweller leg which you can cook into a large array of food from Pastys in the Crafting Table or a Pie in the Cooking Pot. Or place the Cave Dweller Leg on a cutting board to make a new weapon! Each Dweller also has a chance of dropping a wearable head, usable with Curios or normally in the Helmet slot. These items are also obtainable in a Villager Trade with the new Cave-Diver villager.

Unique Cave Dweller

I wanted a Dweller which really fit into the fear factor of what a Dweller should be. Bringing the old cave noises to life instead of being some random occurance that happens in a cave, I wanted to make it feel like it belonged there! I wanted it to really feel like a struggle to encounter, but nothing impossible! So there is a Stun system of 3 critical hits to temporarily stop it from chasing you so you can get away.

Survival-Friendly Progression

The idea of this mod was to make this feel rewarding upon killing a cave dweller! And such there's new advancements and reasons to try to farm these monsters! As well as unlockable recipes in the Recipe Book.

Modpack Friendly

Built for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, it works with any of the more popular Cave Dweller 1.20.1 mods, essentially working on most mod reskins, as there are plenty. Only dependent on GeckoLib, not even to Farmer's Delight even though that removes recipes. So go wild! As this mod adds it's own Cave Dweller, so even more Dweller Mods aren't needed but are compatible. If you find a dweller that isn't compatible? You can add the mob using it's mob ID in the config!

New Villager Profession

Welcome the new villager job, the Cave-Diver! Which is obtainable with the Surveying Table Block. It sells rare Cave Dweller Items including "The Feast" painting and Cave Dweller food, which is the only way to obtain some of those items without cooking in Farmer's Delight or crafting with ███.
