Description

Celestia

Celestia adds synchronized shooting stars, meteor showers, wishes, and subtle astronomical events to Minecraft's night sky. Every meteor is decided by the server and sent to nearby clients, so players in the same world see the same star cross the sky at the same time.

Celestia shooting star

Features

  • Guaranteed shooting stars every night.
  • Sporadic stars from any direction in the sky.
  • Meteor showers with a shared radiant and natural variation.
  • Optional Slow mode for calmer skies on servers or singleplayer.
  • Moon phases affect star frequency and subtle color bias.
  • Make a wish when a star crosses near the center of your view.
  • Luck I for 60 seconds when making a wish, limited to once per Minecraft night per player.
  • Advancements for seeing stars, making a wish, completing a shower, and using astronomy/debug tools.
  • Special cyan/violet stars in The End.
  • Cinematic photographic trail mode with adaptive FPS-based sample reduction.
  • Configurable client-side active star limit.
  • Localized config screen: English, Spanish (Spain), and Spanish (Mexico).
  • Sodium/Iris-friendly: no mixins, no renderer replacement.

How It Works

Celestia schedules stars for each Minecraft night. This prevents empty nights while still keeping the timing random and natural.

Normal sporadic stars can come from any direction. Meteor showers are different: they last for a while and many stars share a similar direction, like a real meteor shower radiant.

Wishing

If a shooting star crosses close to the center of your screen while you are looking at the sky, Celestia triggers a small visual and sound effect. The server then grants Luck I for 60 seconds.

This reward is limited to once per Minecraft night per player, so it feels special without being easy to farm.

Configuration

Client config:

config/celestia-client.properties
localVisualPower=1.00
trailDetail=balanced
glowEnabled=true
maxConcurrentStars=8
singleplayerSlowModeEnabled=false
singleplayerSlowModeInterval=70

Server config:

config/celestia-server.properties

Server owners can configure nightly star counts, meteor shower frequency, cluster sizes, Slow mode, and The End star frequency.

Compatibility

Celestia is designed to work well with Sodium, Iris, Lithium, FerriteCore, and shader packs. It does not use mixins and does not replace Minecraft's renderer.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.1.x
  • Fabric Loader 0.19.2 or newer
  • Fabric API
  • Java 25 or newer
  • Optional: Mod Menu compatible with Minecraft 26.1

  • Estrellas cyan/violeta especiales en The End.
