Description
Chat Limit Extender (Coremod)
Have you ever tried to paste a massive NBT tag, a long command, or a detailed roleplay message into the chat/command block, only to be cut off by Minecraft's hardcoded text limits?
Chat Limit Extender is a lightweight coremod designed to completely obliterate these vanilla restrictions.
By default, Minecraft 1.12.2 limits regular chat messages to 100 characters and command block inputs to a larger, yet still restrictive, cap. Because these limits are deeply hardcoded into the base game's GUI and network packets, a standard mod cannot change them.
As a coremod, this project dynamically patches the game's bytecode at runtime to increase ALL text-based limits (chat, commands, and text GUI inputs) to 32,767 characters (32k).
Features:
True 32k Limit: Type, paste, and execute up to 32,767 characters in a single message or command string.
Coremod for what?: Safely alters the base game's hardcoded limits at the bytecode level without overwriting standard classes.
Universal Text Extension: Does not just affect player chat. It expands the character limit for command blocks and other text-based inputs.
Perfect for Mapmakers & RP Servers: Easily handle massive `/summon`, `/setblock`, or `/tellraw` commands with complex NBT data that would normally crash or truncate in vanilla 1.12.2.
Just drop it into your `mods` folder like any other mod. Since it is a coremod, it will automatically handle the bytecode patching during the game initialization.
