Description

Choose Enchant

Pick the enchantment you want. No more rerolling for Sharpness.

Inspired by Hypixel Skyblock's enchanting table, this mod replaces the vanilla "three mystery options" gamble with a clean menu where you decide what goes on your gear.

Features

Pick any enchantment that applies to the item — no more rerolling for hours hoping for Mending.
No bookshelves required. Every enchantment is unlocked regardless of how many shelves surround the table.
Fair pricing. Costs scale with the enchantment's rarity and level — cheap on commons, expensive on the rare ones.
Compatibility-aware. Conflicting and already-maxed enchants are greyed out so you can't waste XP.
Books work too. Slot a book to craft enchanted books for any non-curse enchantment.
Server-side application. Anti-cheat friendly — the enchantment is applied authoritatively on the server.

How it works

Right-click any vanilla enchanting table to open the picker:

1. Drop your item (or book) in the item slot.
2. Drop lapis in the lapis slot.
3. Click the enchantment you want from the list.

XP and lapis are deducted, the enchantment is applied. Done.

Cost formula

XP levels = rarity_weight × level (+5 for treasure enchants)
Lapis     = level

Rarity weights: Common 1, Uncommon 2, Rare 4, Very Rare 8.

Examples:

• Sharpness V → 5 levels + 5 lapis
• Mending I → 4 levels + 1 lapis
• Soul Speed III → 24 levels + 3 lapis

Creative mode is free.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.20.1
Forge 47.3.0+
Java 17

Compatibility

• Doesn't replace or modify the enchanting table block — pure event interception. Safe with most other mods.
• Other mods' enchantments are supported automatically as long as they register through the standard Forge enchantment system.
