About

Description

Vanilla Minecraft subtitles kind of stink for reaction-level events like creepers exploding just off-screen. Not only is there a signifigant amount of travel time for the player's eyes (especially on widescreen) to the subs themselves, but the firehose of information as the stream of subtitles scrolls past threatens to wash out the relevant warnings.

This mod aims to bridge the gap and give hearing-impaired players immediate feedback in as non-intrusive a manner as possible. No extra UI elements or configs or any of that. So, an extremely simple but effective approach; All hostile mob actions' subtitles are highlighted.

The majority of hostile subtitles are red, with creeper events popping up as green so you know if you've got to get ready to fight something, or just get the hell out of dodge.

Passive mobs that turn hostile will have their subtitles highlighted as well, so you'll know the moment their allegience flips.

Finally, the mod intelligently detects if mobs from other mods become hostile, so it should work with enemies from Mowzies, Twilight Forest, etc. If you find a mob that doesnt work leave a comment!

Installing is as simple as any other mod, just drop in your mods folder. No blocks or entities are affected by the mod so uninstalling is just as easy.

Feel free to use in any modpack!
