Chunkloadable Spawners
Vanilla spawners have a frustrating limitation for automation: they completely shut down unless a player is standing within 16 blocks. If you want to leave your base or work on a project across the world, your automated mob farms grind to a halt—even if you have a chunk loader keeping the area active.
This mod fixes that by adding a straightforward, balanced upgrade mechanic to vanilla spawners.

How It Works
- Upgrading: Right-click any monster spawner with a Netherite Ingot. You'll see a burst of soul fire particles, and the spawner is now upgraded. From this point on, it will tick and spawn mobs as long as its chunk is loaded (whether by vanilla
/forceloador any modded chunk loader). - Refunding: If you want your ingot back, simply sneak (Shift) and right-click the upgraded spawner with an empty hand. The spawner will revert to vanilla behavior and return your ingot.
- Breaking: If you mine an upgraded spawner, it will drop the Netherite Ingot onto the ground so you don't lose your investment.
Technical Details
- Anti-Despawn Logic: Normally, Minecraft instantly despawns mobs if no players are within 128 blocks. This mod automatically flags mobs created by upgraded spawners to prevent them from vanishing the moment they touch the world.
- Performance: The checks run efficiently on the server side and avoid heavy performance overhead, making it perfectly safe for multiplayer servers.
- Compatibility: This is a server-side framework modification. It works seamlessly alongside any modded chunk loaders (like FTB Chunks, Create, or Mekanism).
