CityWorld Compass

Find anything in a CityWorld city. Right-click the Urban Compass, pick a hospital, a shopping mall, a subway station, a bookshop, the industrial district or a named building like the Winchester, and the needle swings to the nearest one. Nature's Compass, for the city.

How it works

  • Use the compass to open a searchable list of everything CityWorld builds: the nearest city, places (hospitals, museums, zoos, radio towers, vault entrances and more), shops by trade, districts and every named building.
  • Pick one. The compass asks CityWorld's city plan where the nearest one is, so it finds places nobody has explored yet, without generating anything and without pausing the game. The action bar tells you how far.
  • Sneak-use to search again from where you now stand.

Getting one

  • Craft it: a compass in the middle, bricks on the four sides, lodestones in the corners.
  • Or find one: about one CityWorld chest in 200 holds one.

Needs CityWorld 6.6.0 or later. Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge), 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3 (NeoForge).

For server owners: searchRadius (default 3000 blocks) and searchSeconds (default 60) in the mod's config.
