Description

Por Los Sagrados Huevos De Fenryz

A Cobblemon addon that adds Pokémon eggs and a villager-based system for obtaining them.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge, and Cobblemon.

Current Features

Cleric villagers can act as Pokémon Egg Merchants.
Merchants offer Pokémon eggs from eligible species detected from Cobblemon's Pokédex.
Species added by other Cobblemon addons can also be detected and added to the egg catalog.
Eggs visually display the Pokémon they contain using Cobblemon's Pokémon models.
Eggs hatch after walking 100 steps.
Eggs hatch into the first stage of eligible Pokémon evolution lines.
Legendary, Mythical, Paradox, and fossil Pokémon are excluded.
The current price is 5 emeralds per egg.

Compatibility with Pokémon Addons

The mod automatically detects Pokémon species registered in Cobblemon rather than relying on a manually maintained Pokémon list.

This allows Pokémon and custom species added by other Cobblemon addons to be detected and added to the egg catalog automatically, provided they meet the mod's eligibility rules.

The system has been tested with AllTheMons and Gravelmon. Pokémon species added by these addons were successfully detected, added to the merchant catalog, and displayed correctly using their available Cobblemon models and sprites.

The eligibility of externally added species depends on the data provided by the addon that introduces them. If an external addon does not correctly identify a species as Legendary, Mythical, Paradox, fossil, or another excluded category, that species may still appear in this mod's egg catalog.

How to Get an Egg Merchant

Currently, the mod does not automatically turn every Cleric villager into an Egg Merchant.

There are two ways to get one:
Using the command

You can summon a Cleric directly with:

/summon minecraft:villager ~ ~ ~ {VillagerData:{profession:"minecraft:cleric",level:1,type:"minecraft:plains"}}

Then interact with the Cleric to add the available Pokémon egg trades to its shop.

Creating one normally

You can turn a normal unemployed villager into a Cleric by placing a Brewing Stand near it.
Once the villager becomes a Cleric, interact with it to add the available Pokémon egg trades.

Existing Clerics and New Pokémon

Clerics that already exist before the mod is installed, or before additional Pokémon addons are added, do not automatically refresh their egg catalog.

To load the updated list of available species, create a new Cleric or remove and replace the Brewing Stand so that the villager's profession is refreshed.

Commands

The mod includes several commands for testing and administration. They require permission level 2 or higher.

/fenryztestegg
Creates a Ralts egg with 100 required steps.

/fenryzrandomegg
Creates a random egg from the currently eligible Pokémon species.

/fenryzspecies
Displays the number of eligible Pokémon species detected by the mod, along with the first and last species in the Pokédex list.

/fenryztestvillager
Creates a vanilla villager next to the player for testing the merchant system.

Current Version

This mod was originally created as a personal project for my own use and enjoyment.

Version 0.1.1 includes the core features of the mod, including Pokémon eggs, Cobblemon Pokémon models, hatching, automatic species detection, species filtering, and the Cleric merchant system.

Multiplayer / Server Compatibility

The mod has been tested on a local dedicated Forge server using Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge 47.4.23.

The test confirmed that the egg system, merchant system, Pokémon detection, and Pokémon models function correctly in a client-server environment.

How to Install

  1. Download the .jar file for the desired version.

  2. Place the .jar file in your Minecraft mods folder.

  3. Make sure you have the required versions of Minecraft, Forge, and Cobblemon installed.

  4. Launch the game.

How to Install on a Server

For a dedicated Forge server, install the mod on the server's mods folder along with its required dependencies.

Players connecting to the server should also have the required client-side mods installed, using the same compatible Minecraft, Forge, Cobblemon, and mod versions as the server.

The exact installation process may vary depending on the server provider. Services such as Aternos use their own mod installation system.
