Cobblemon Scale Variants (CSV)

Cobblemon Scale Variants brings authentic biological size scaling to Cobblemon. Powered by Generation 9 mathematical distributions and Gaussian variance, every Pokémon spawns with a unique physical scale, complete with adjusted hitboxes, eye heights, dynamic sound pitch shifts, and craftable catalysts.

Available for both Fabric and NeoForge.

Features

  • Gen 9 Scale Distribution: Realistic normal distribution (0.50x to 1.66x+) categorized into 9 distinct size tiers: Micro, Miniature, Small, Compact, Standard, Substantial, Large, Colossal, and Titan.
  • 🛡️ Absolute Minimum Size Protection: Naturally small Pokémon (Cutiefly, Joltik, Flabébé, Combee, Dedenne, Grubbin, etc.) are protected by minAbsoluteScale (0.25m), guaranteeing they never shrink into microscopic or sub-pixel sizes, keeping their models fully visible and hitboxes easily clickable!
  • Summary & PC Integration: Size tier labels appear directly inside the Cobblemon Summary Screen and PC Box storage.

5 Alchemical Catalysts

Trainers can alter or stabilize their Pokémon's growth in survival mode using craftable catalysts:

Catalyst Type Scale Adjustment Description
Micro Catalyst Incremental -0.10x Compresses cellular mass to reduce physical size.
Macro Catalyst Incremental +0.10x Enhances cellular mass to increase physical size.
Pygmy Infusion Absolute Species Minimum (Micro) Instantly condenses Pokémon to its smallest natural size.
Titan Infusion Absolute Species Maximum (Titan) Awakens dormant gigantism to reach maximum natural size.
Scale Stabilizer Reset 1.00x Baseline Restores biological balance and reverts scale to standard.

Catalysts can only be applied by the Pokémon's rightful owner via right-click.

  • Physical & Audio Synchronization: Real-time scaling of entity hitboxes, eye heights, and cry pitch, fully synchronized across multiplayer without visual desync.
  • Smart Safety Checks: Restricts oversized Pokémon from perching on shoulders and validates riding bounds. Catalysts can only be applied by the Pokémon's owner.
  • Admin Commands & Dynamic Config:
    • /escale check [slot/species] — Inspect size tier, exact scale factor, and height.
    • /escale set <slot/species> <scale> — Manually set a Pokémon's scale modifier.
    • /escale randomize [all/slot] — Reroll sizes across party.
    • /escale player <player> <check|set|randomize> — Manage other players' Pokémon.
    • /escale reload — Reload config and datapack species overrides.
    • /escale config <view|min|max|min_absolute|reset> — Live-tune size limits without server restarts!
