Cobblemon Shiny Effects
No reviews yet
A datapack addon for the Cobblemon mod that gives visual and auditory cues for shiny pokemon.
Does not follow a specific thematic focus apart from vanilla Minecraft.
Used for mods with little to no gameplay elements.
Includes aesthetic items like decoration, clothing, and visual effects.
Adds new music or changing the game's music and sound effects.
Adds extra features or content to an existing mod.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.

About
Description
This mod unifies visual, auditory, and chat notifications in a satisfying and useful way to help you find shinies you might otherwise miss.
Wild Shinies:
• Gives off an initial particle effect, auditory sparkle, and chat notification (with the Pokémon's name, and the nearest player)
• Continuously gives off sparkle particle effects that make visibility at night easier
• Occasionally gives off directional auditory cues in the form of a sparkling noise, allowing general direction to be found when using headphones\
Previously Captured Shinnies:
• Gives off a single localized sparkle noise at a lower pitch and a smaller particle effect on spawn
• Does not notify chat that it has spawned, to avoid confusion with wild shinies
• Does not give off continuous noises or particle effects to avoid confusion with wild shinies\
This is still version 1.0 so please let me know if you find any problems. I've run this in multiplayer server-side and it seems to work well, but if I missed something let me know.
