Description

Trainer Sight is a server-side Fabric mod for Cobblemon that allows trainers to automatically challenge players when they see them. Activated trainers can initiate battles when a player enters their detection range and field of view, provided the configured detection conditions are met.

Trainer activation is controlled by server administrators. By default, automatic challenges are disabled for trainers until an administrator activates them individually.

Supported commands:

/trainersight activate
Activates automatic line-of-sight challenges for the trainer you are looking at. You must be in-game, have operator permission level 2 or higher, and have a clear line of sight to the trainer within 64 blocks.

/trainersight enable
Alias for /trainersight activate. Enables automatic challenges for the trainer you are looking at.

/trainersight deactivate
Disables automatic line-of-sight challenges for the trainer you are looking at. This does not disable the trainer's normal manual battle interaction.

/trainersight disable
Alias for /trainersight deactivate. Disables automatic challenges for the targeted trainer.

/trainersight reload
Reloads the Trainer Sight configuration from config/trainersight.json. This command requires permission level 2 or higher and can be run by an authorized administrator or from the server console.

The activation and deactivation commands affect only the trainer you are targeting, not every trainer in the world.

The default automatic challenge distance is 16 blocks. Other configurable settings include vertical detection range, field of view, line-of-sight requirements, challenge delays, battle cooldowns, detection frequency, trainer and player filters, dimension restrictions, and optional challenge messages and sounds.
