The Intelligence Revolution

Updated Custom Chat Mobs is a total overhaul of the Minecraft entity system. By integrating the power of Llama 3.2 locally, every single creature now possesses a unique Soul and the ability to hold intelligent, context-aware conversations. This version completely replaces previous "stupid" mob logic with a sophisticated reasoning system that understands the world around it.

Core Features

  • Free Forever: No API keys, no tokens, and no paid subscriptions. This mod uses your own hardware to run the AI, keeping the experience 100% free for everyone.

  • The Universal Bridge: Built with a highly optimized single-bridge architecture. This one master logic system handles every vanilla and modded entity, ensuring your game stays lightweight and compatible with other mods.

  • The Soul Mechanic: Every mob is a unique individual. If a mob dies, its personality and memories are lost forever because they do not respawn. Your actions have permanent consequences in this world.

  • Sonic Interaction System: Mobs interact with you via simulated Sound Waves. They don’t just "see" you; they react to your audio proximity. This allows for organic conversations even if you aren't looking directly at each other.

  • Zero Latency Design: Optimized code ensures that the Llama 3.2 "brain" doesn't cause FPS drops, providing a smooth experience even during intense gameplay.

Required Setup

This mod uses a local AI engine to ensure your privacy and keep the mod free. You must follow these steps for the mobs to respond:

  1. Install Ollama: Download from ollama.com.

  2. Grant Permissions: Open your Command Prompt (CMD) and run: setx OLLAMA_ORIGINS "*"

  3. Start the Brain: Open a terminal and type: ollama run llama3.2

  4. Keep the terminal window open while playing!
