Description
Colorway
Any color you want. Colorway recolors Minecraft's gear, blocks, HUD, menus, particles, moon and sky to the colors you choose, in game, from one screen. No packs to download, no files to edit.
Pick a color and Colorway builds a resource pack around it on the spot.
✦ How it works
Press N to open the menu. The game is split into groups you can color separately:
- Items: weapons and tools, armour, bows and arrows, throwables and shield
- World: PvP blocks, particles, the moon, the sky
- Interface: hearts, absorption hearts, bars and armour icons, hotbar and crosshair, menus and containers, buttons and widgets
Give each group any color, or turn it off to keep that part vanilla. Want one look everywhere? Set everything colors the whole game in one click. The pack rebuilds in the background in about two seconds, then reloads itself.
✦ Colors
Eleven built in colors: red, orange, yellow, lime, green, light blue, blue, purple, indigo, violet and pink.
Not enough? Add your own hex code. Type something like #B4FAEF, give it a name if you like, and it joins the list with a live swatch preview. You can use it anywhere a built in color works. Every shade, highlight and outline is worked out from that one value, so your colors look just as finished as the built in ones.
✦ The sky
Colorway paints its own sky in your colors instead of shipping a fixed image:
- Storm: banded storm clouds lit from within
- Aurora: curtains of light drifting across the night
- Storm + aurora: both at once
- Time: leave it changing with the day, or lock it to permanent day or permanent night
You choose the sky colors in order. The first lights the clouds, the second picks out the edges, and the aurora uses them all. Skies are painted once and cached, so they cost nothing after the first build.
✦ Block outline
Recolor the block outline and change its width. It applies instantly with no reload.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.11
- Fabric Loader and Fabric API
- Nuit (required). Colorway paints the sky textures and Nuit draws them over the vanilla sky, switching between day and night so the storm and aurora show up at the right time. The mod will not load without it.
- Java 21
Client side only. Colorway changes nothing on the server, so it works on any server you play on, vanilla or modded.
Prefer the vanilla sky? Set the Sky group to off. Nuit still needs to be installed, but nothing gets drawn.
Good to know
- The generated pack goes into your resource packs folder and is turned on automatically. It is a normal pack, so you can look inside it or switch it off from the vanilla pack screen.
- Painted skies are cached in your config folder by color, so going back to a scheme you used before is instant.
- Reset to blue and red puts everything back to the defaults.
- Your settings are saved in
config/colorway.json.

How it works
Press N to open the menu. Every part of the game is split into groups you set independently:
- Items: weapons and tools, armour, bows and arrows, throwables and shields
- World: PvP blocks, particles, the moon, the sky
- Interface: hearts, absorption hearts, bars and armour icons, hotbar and crosshair, menus and containers, buttons and widgets
Set a group to any color, or turn it off to leave that part vanilla. The pack rebuilds in the background in about two seconds, then reloads itself.

The sky
Colorway paints its own sky in your colors rather than shipping a fixed image:
- Storm: banded storm clouds lit from within
- Aurora: curtains that shift across the night
- Storm and aurora: both at once
- Time: leave it changing with the day, or lock it to permanent day or night
You pick the sky colors in order. The first lights the clouds, the second picks out the edges, and the aurora uses them all. Skies are painted once and cached, so they cost nothing after the first build.

Requirements
Colorway is client side only. It changes nothing on the server, so it works on any server you play on, vanilla or modded.
Nuit is required. Colorway generates the sky textures and Nuit renders them over the vanilla sky, with the day and night keyframes that make the storm and aurora appear at the right time. Without it the mod will not load.
Runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 with Java 21.
Note on the sky: if you would rather keep the vanilla sky, set the Sky group to off. Nuit is still required for the mod to load, but nothing is drawn.
Notes
- The generated pack is written to your resource packs folder and enabled automatically. It is a normal pack, so you can look at it, and you can turn it off in the vanilla pack screen.
- Painted skies are cached in your config folder, keyed by the colors you chose, so switching back to a scheme you used before is instant.
- Your settings are saved in
colorway.jsonin the same place.
