Description
Command Gate
Command Gate adds configurable per-player cooldowns to any vanilla or modded command on a Forge server. Players do not need to install the mod.
Features
- Works with vanilla and modded commands
- Per-player cooldowns
- Longest-prefix matching for precise subcommand rules
- Persistent cooldowns across server restarts
- Configurable operator bypass
- Live admin commands
- Server-side only
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.4.10 or newer
- Java 17
Configuration
After the first launch, edit config/commandgate-common.toml.
Rules use command=seconds without a leading slash:
rules = ["home=30", "warp=10", "warp spawn=120"]
bypassPermissionLevel = 2
The most specific matching prefix wins. In the example above, /warp spawn uses 120 seconds while other /warp commands use 10 seconds.
Set bypassPermissionLevel = 5 if operators should not bypass cooldowns.
Admin commands
/commandgate list/commandgate set <seconds> <command prefix>/commandgate remove <command prefix>/commandgate clearcooldowns
Admin changes take effect immediately and persist in the world. A removed config rule remains disabled until it is explicitly set again.
Installation
Install the JAR in the server's mods folder. No client installation is required.
