Description
Compact Extreme Reactor compresses the large Reactor and Turbine multiblock machines from Extreme Reactors 2 into single compact blocks. It keeps the core fuel, fluid, energy, and status simulation while removing the need to build the physical multiblock structure. The result is a practical option for modpacks and survival worlds that need a smaller, easier-to-monitor power setup.
The PNG files in this directory are promotional illustrations built from the project's own machine artwork. They are not in-game screenshots, and any values or layout shown in them are illustrative only.
Features
- Compact Reactor: a single-block reactor with solid fuel input, fuel consumption, accumulated waste, waste clearing, control-rod insertion adjustment, and an on/off control.
- Compact Turbine: a single-block turbine that accepts steam through its fluid capability, spins up the simulated rotor, generates FE, and outputs condensed water.
- Energy and fluid interfaces: the reactor accepts coolant water and outputs steam; the turbine accepts steam and outputs water. Both machines expose FE through their energy capability, and power can be drawn from any face of the compact block.
- Status GUI: the reactor displays generated power, temperature, machine status, control-rod insertion, fuel, waste, and stored energy. The turbine displays generated power, rotor speed, steam, water, and stored energy.
- Fuel handling: solid fuel can be inserted through the block item capability or by right-clicking the reactor with fuel. Fluid fuels and coolant containers use the block's fluid capability.
- Two supported builds: Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1.
Basic Usage
- Place a Compact Reactor or Compact Turbine block.
- Right-click the block to open its GUI. Insert solid fuel through the reactor's item capability or with a fuel item, and connect coolant or fluid-fuel inputs with compatible fluid containers or pipes.
- Connect the reactor's steam output to the turbine's steam input. Collect the turbine's condensed-water output through its fluid capability.
- Extract FE with energy cables or conduits from any side; all six sides are equivalent for a compact machine.
The reactor control buttons adjust control-rod insertion in 5% steps. The toggle button starts or stops the machine, and the void-waste button clears accumulated waste.
